Quality Control Group/Group Leader, Quality Management Department

HY

(Joined as a new graduate in 2003/Graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering)

My Work

Currently, as the head of the quality control group, I am responsible for a wide range of tasks and also support the growth of my employees.
The Quality Control Group mainly manages manufacturing quality within Kanzaki's factories, and works with the production department and development team to ensure that products are made according to drawings, focusing on activities to reduce variation in part dimensions and product performance.
When a manufacturing defect occurs, we investigate the cause and take measures to prevent recurrence.
While the judgment of quality defects is based on the inspection report, flexible responses based on experience are required, so young employees gain experience through OJT and develop their judgment skills.
They understand the importance of setting an example, and are proactive in taking part in skills tests and other events.

To value people -
That is the origin of manufacturing.

The reason I joined KANZAKI was not just because it is a Yanmar Group company, but because I was attracted to the fact that it brings its own designs to market.
I was also attracted by the strength of the company's ability to handle everything from design to sales without relying on a parent company.
As I was narrowing my job search down to manufacturing, I was familiar with the Yanmar brand through its weather forecasts. Furthermore, the company is also involved in the manufacture of tractors for overseas markets, and its global expansion was also a deciding factor for me to join the company.

There are three main moments that make me feel rewarded at work.
First of all, there is a great sense of accomplishment when we thoroughly identify the cause of a quality defect and establish measures to prevent recurrence.
I feel joy in being able to identify the essence of a problem and contribute to improving quality.
Next, it is a moment when you can see the growth of the people you work with up close.
In particular, when I see young employees becoming more independent and becoming more capable, I feel that my guidance is paying off.
Finally, I feel a great sense of accomplishment in being able to develop the human resources that will support the company in the future.
I believe that passing on my experience and knowledge to the next generation will lead to the future of the company.

The appeal of KANZAKI is
An open and challenging environment

Above all, KANZAKI is a company whose appeal lies in its openness.
I think what's attractive about this company is the low barriers within it and the homely atmosphere where everyone is treated with courtesy.
I believe this is proof that the spirit of "wawaragi," our code of conduct, is firmly rooted in our employees.
Another attractive feature of KANZAKI is the strong sense of unity that allows employees to cooperate across departments and overcome difficult situations as a company.
I also find the culture of allowing employees to interact with each other voluntarily, through events such as the cherry blossom festival and softball tournaments, and activities to raise awareness of the company's management philosophy, very appealing.
It's easy to maintain a work-life balance, and we can share household chores and find time for hobbies.

My goal is to become a person who has a deeper understanding of safety, quality, and productivity throughout the factory and can manage them comprehensively.
In the future, I would like to utilize my experience working in the United States to once again take on the challenge of working overseas, broadening my perspective and acquiring management knowledge.
I also hope to have the opportunity to be involved in the management of our overseas bases.
Personally, I also have a dream of having a vacation home on the remote island where my wife's parents live, and enjoying fishing while driving a boat.
To all those looking for a job! Life is long.
You will surely be able to work longer at a company where you can empathize with the company's mission and management philosophy, rather than deciding on a job based solely on short-term considerations such as salary and bonuses.
Find your own way to enjoy your work and life.

Transmission "EO756"

A long-selling product that has been given all its effort in production transfer

When I first joined the company, this transmission was being manufactured at a factory in Shiga Prefecture, but due to spin-off the company was transferred to Kanzaki, and I was deeply involved in the start-up of this transfer project, including setting up the production line.
Afterwards, he worked for several years as supervisor of the production line for the transferred products at the newly established Minami Factory, where he also devoted himself to improvement activities.
As a result, we won a gold medal at the Yanmar Group awards ceremony.
The EO756 is a product that has been with me as I have grown up, and it is a special product filled with my personal history.
Although production volume has decreased recently, we are proud of this product, which has continued to be in use for many years.

I…"A positive person who continues to take on challenges"is.

When asked, "What would you do if you had money?" I answered, "I would start a business and aim to be successful."
It's not that I have a specific goal in mind, but I'm not one to be satisfied with the status quo and I want to keep evolving.
A few years ago, I had the opportunity to be seconded to the United States, which greatly broadened my perspective and way of thinking.
Even now, I try to listen to Western music and English conversation on podcasts before going to bed so that I don't forget my English.
However, I don't always think about work.
I share the housework with my wife, who also works, and the time we spend cooking dinner and walking the dog is a good way to refresh myself.
In his free time, he enjoys his hobby of fishing!
My hobby grew to the point where I even got a small boat license.
