Taking on a challenge is the first step to expanding your possibilities.
With KANZAKI, you can move forward in your own way!

Sales Department Domestic Sales Group/Group Manager

N.S.

(Joined as a new graduate in 2001/graduated from a general education course)

My Work

My job involves selling marine gear that goes hand in hand with Yanmar engines installed on ships, and HST/transmissions that are installed on agricultural machinery such as tractors and combine harvesters, and lawnmowers.
In addition to selling to existing customers, developing new customers and conducting market research are also important parts of the job.
The skills required are the ability to understand customer needs (problems) through communication, make sales proposals, and close a deal.
Currently, as the person in charge of the domestic sales group, I leave sales promotion work to the person in charge, while focusing on supporting large-scale business negotiations, exploring new business ventures, and collaborating with management.

Being able to expand your potential
The greatest reward

Ultimately, I chose Kanzaki because I felt it was a company that offered an environment that encouraged me to take on challenges and help me expand my potential.
There is an atmosphere at KANZAKI that says "the more you put in the effort, the more you will be evaluated," and when I heard something similar from the HR person during my interview, I could relate to that.
For someone like me who had taken a somewhat roundabout path, such as dropping out of university to focus on golf, the idea of an environment where you are evaluated based on your ability, regardless of your academic background, was a big attraction.
In fact, when I joined the company, I heard that there was an employee who had only graduated from high school and eventually became a department manager, and I felt that if I tried, I could do that too.

I feel my job is rewarding when I see the product I sold actually installed in a machine and in operation, or when I hear directly from a customer that it is "good."
The sense of accomplishment when proposing a new business, making multiple prototypes, and finally moving to mass production after several years is exceptional.
I want my younger colleagues to experience the same joy.
One of the things that makes my job rewarding is that the experience and connections I gained in my previous job in the Quality Assurance Department are being put to good use in my current job.
Having development, manufacturing, and sales all on one site provides an attractive environment where we can talk face-to-face.
It was an unforgettable experience to turn around the marine gear sales business, which had been in the red for many years, and to receive the Best Employee Award at the KANZAKI AWARD, which started in 2023.

A corporate culture that welcomes challenges
Leverage your individuality to grow

Our sales department is divided into three groups: overseas, domestic, and management, each of which consists of a small but elite team of around five people.
Despite this, the company boasts annual sales of 20 billion yen.
Our age range is wide, from 20s to 60s, but we believe that this is due to the warm atmosphere where people help each other regardless of age.
In particular, I have a former manager who was rehired after retirement and who still gives me a lot of advice, and I really respect him.
I feel that the company as a whole has a culture that welcomes new ideas and is not afraid of change, and I also feel that the president is always seeking out new things.

I am always looking to add new value and expand my sales.
I hope that in the process, my own growth will lead to the development of the company.
I would like to work hard in sales for a few more years and then try something new in about 10 years.
To achieve this, we would like to gather information and propose new projects without being limited by existing businesses.
The company is always seeking change, and I feel that it has high hopes for employees who are willing to take on new challenges. This is a company that is not only looking for proactive people like me, but also for people who can keep working steadily.
For those of you currently job-hunting, come and show us your unique side at KANZAKI!

A job worth remembering

For Iseki Agricultural Machinery
HMT (Hydraulic Mechanical
transmission)

Sales doubled! A product that opens up new possibilities

One product that I am particularly attached to is the HMT, which we sell to Iseki & Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Iseki).
Iseki did not have a machine with a gear shifting system and continuously variable transmission function until 2023.
In March 2021, we began working towards realizing the development of this machine with Yanmar's continuously variable speed function, which was Iseki's long-cherished dream, together with Kanzaki products, which realize the continuously variable speed function of Yanmar.
In response to Iseki's needs, we proposed our technology, which led to the company adopting it, doubling sales to approximately 500 million yen.
Due to the decline in the number of people working in agriculture, there is an increasing demand for large, efficient continuously variable transmissions, and building on the success of this product, we aim to install it in even higher horsepower tractors.
Through this experience, expanding sales to new customers became an important mission.
If you search for "BFREX" on the Iseki homepage, you can see which tractors it is installed on!

Employee data

I…"A calm and passionate person who trusts his instincts and does his best."is.

I like interacting with people, and I'm the type of person who can't just leave someone in trouble.
I am proactive at work and find it rewarding and enjoyable to create new work.
I attend social gatherings with clients once or twice a month, and about the same frequency hold drinking parties with colleagues from work.
On the other hand, in my daily life, I value time with my family more than anything, and spending dinner together with my family is the best way to relax.
On his days off, he relaxes by playing golf, a sport he has been playing since his student days.
I no longer have any desire to become a professional, but I don't feel like I'll lose in company competitions (laughs).
