Management Department, Human Resources Group

MM

(2024 Career Joiner / Graduate of the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics)

My Work

I belong to the Human Resources and Labor Group in the Management Department, and my main job is recruitment.
The busiest time for recruiting new graduates is from mid-March to April, but we recruit throughout the year.
At other times, I am in charge of recruiting not only new graduates, but also mid-career hires and temporary workers.
I am also in charge of communicating with recruitment agencies, and my job involves posting job information and negotiating terms.
In addition to recruitment, we also solicit applications for skills tests held twice a year, order materials for in-house practical tests, and manage the process.

A job that supports people
A rewarding life

Previously, I worked in cargo sales at a shipping company for three years.
When I decided to change jobs from a company with an old system and was looking for a job locally, I became interested in KANZAKI after hearing from a recruiter that they value personality even if you have no experience.
It was only after I searched their website on the web that I found out it was a Yanmar group company.
I also wanted to do a job that supported people, so I was very grateful for the opportunity to try working in human resources rather than sales.
The good personalities of the people I met during the interview were also one of the deciding factors for me to join the company.
My current boss (laughs).

What I find rewarding about this job is when someone I've worked with decides to join the company or when I hear them say "thank you."
It gives me great joy to see the people I have hired doing well in the workplace.
I had no experience in human resources so I was a bit confused at first, but I realized how interesting it was to interact with various departments and learn about their respective situations.
During interviews, when you see applicants trying their best despite being nervous, you naturally want to cheer them on.

Broaden your horizons and be proactive
Ask questions to shape the future

The kindness I felt from the HR staff during the interview has not changed since I joined the company, and there is an open atmosphere that makes it easy to ask questions or seek advice, which has helped me grow and advance my work.
There is active interaction between departments, and there are many opportunities for employees to deepen their connections with each other, such as company events such as softball tournaments and club activities.
The company also has an in-house gym, showers, and a large bath for men, so I feel that the benefits offered are excellent.
Our company culture is one of "supporting challenges," and what makes us appealing is the environment in which we can approach things positively without fear of failure.

It's a workplace where you can work freely because your opinions are fully accepted.
Those of you currently searching for a job may feel anxious or impatient about having to make decisions when your future is uncertain.
That was the case for me as well.
That's why I think that rather than narrowing down your industry too much from the beginning, gathering a wide range of information at information sessions and other events will help broaden your horizons.
If there's anything that bothers you at all, don't just brush it off with a "it's okay" attitude, but be sure to ask questions.
It will also help reduce the gap after joining the company, so please be brave.

A job worth remembering

Pleasure boat
Hybrid Engine System
"KM-70HEA"

An interesting product from a technical standpoint. Introduced to students looking for jobs.

Although I was not directly involved in its development, the KM-70HEA hybrid engine system for pleasure boats, which I learned about recently while explaining it to students, is a product that I am very fond of.
This is a hybrid car-like system applied to ships, and was jointly developed by Yanmar and Kanzaki.
In response to questions from students about the latest technology, we introduce this system as a concrete example, and I feel that it is very interesting from a technical perspective.
As environmental awareness increases, we believe this is a technology that is expected to become more widespread in the future.
Through this product, we would like to convey the image that a company with a long history is not just an old company, but that it is one that can adapt to the changing times with its advanced technological capabilities.

I…"Continuity is power"is.

Having only recently joined the company, I am faced with new challenges every day.
Everyone around me is very kind, and I've been entrusted with rewarding work, so I feel fulfilled every day.
In my free time, I work hard at weight training, a practice I've been doing since my student days.
I'm really grateful that there is a training room in the company, and after working up a good sweat, I can take a shower and go home feeling refreshed. I basically cook dinner for myself, and try out recipes that I see online that look delicious.
Relax by watching movies or anime before going to bed.
I love watching movies, so I'd like to start a film club within my company!
