Response to conflict minerals

Some minerals (tantalum, tin, gold, and tungsten) produced in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and neighboring countries in Africa are referred to as "conflict minerals" as they are believed to be a source of funding for local armed groups.
Kanzaki High-Tech Machinery Works recognizes that "conflict minerals," which cause social issues such as human rights and the environment, are an important CSR issue, and has a policy of not using "conflict minerals."

Regarding conflict minerals, guidelines from the international organization OECD and the US Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act require investigations throughout the entire supply chain to confirm that final products do not contain conflict minerals.
We ask that all suppliers to the Kanzaki Kokyukoki Mfg. Co., Ltd. Group also fully understand the international situation regarding "conflict minerals," agree not to use "conflict minerals," cooperate with surveys conducted by each group company, and work together with us to ensure responsible mineral procurement.
