Responding to Conflict Minerals

Some minerals including tantalum, tin, gold, and tungsten originating from the Democratic Republic of Congo and its adjoining countries are so-called "conflict minerals" and they are helping to raise funds for armed groups. Kanzaki group recognizes that conflict minerals contribute to social problems such as human-rights and environmental issues and consider this critical. Therefore, Kanzaki group will not use any conflict minerals as a matter of policy.

The guidelines of the OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development) and the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act require a formalization of the origin and chain of custody of conflict minerals used in products. We ask our suppliers to fully understand the international environment regarding conflict minerals and our conflict minerals-free policy.
